The Beskow is a modern take on a historical sketchbook. In Elsa Beskow's archive at Uppsala University Library, her sketchbooks from around 1900 are stored and preserved. By looking closely at one of these sketchbooks, we were able to discern how it was made and to recreate the sketchbook for a new generation of artists.

The Beskow is covered in hand paired, vegetable tanned goat leather, and has a pen holder, a closing strap and a small pocket on the inside front board. The sketchbook is small and lightweight, a perfect travel companion, always with a pen at the ready.

The Papyrus MultiDesign paper we use for the bookblock is our personal favorite. It is eco certified, uncoated, and has the perfect "light" feeling under the pen. It is equally suitable for writing and sketching, and handles ink and aquarelle well.
