We're simply too sentimental to discard of any scrap pieces of the marbled or patterned paper. Any pieces that are too small to put on books, we turn into these key rings! It's a win win as it helps us reduce paper waste, and in return we get these cute and functional stitch markers.
Markers no. 1-11 feature details from a reproductive print of the Carta marina. The Carta marina et descriptio septemtrionalium terrarum is the earliest detailed map with place namnes of Scandinavia and was created in the years 1529-37. We love it's whimsical depictions of humans, terrain, ocean, animals and beasts.
The markers feature decorative papers on both front and back sides.
